Bighorn Mountain Campground

The amenities cover mountain-trip essentials: hot showers, working Wi-Fi, laundry machines, full hookups, and somewhere legal to build a fire.

The amenities at Shell Campground support cabin stays, glamping trips, RV travel, hunting visits, fishing weekends, and longer mountain itineraries. Every cabin room includes a private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, linens, towels, a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker. RV guests receive water, sewer, and 50-, 30-, or 15-amp electrical hookups. The shower house and coin laundry remain open 24 hours, while shared picnic tables and firepits are distributed around the property. Propane refills and firewood purchases are available on site. Pet access, generator use, parking, smoking restrictions, and use of shared spaces remain governed by current campground policies.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground, including cabins, glamping areas, and RV sites. It covers routine browsing, messaging, weather checks, and route planning.

• Private Cabin Bathrooms

All nine cabins include attached private bathrooms. Linens and towels are supplied for cabin guests.

• 24-Hour Shower House

The separate shower house is open around the clock for RV and glamping guests. Glamping-tent guests must bring their own towels.

• 24-Hour Coin Laundry

Coin-operated laundry facilities remain open 24 hours a day, useful after hiking, fishing, hunting, or several dusty days on the road.

• Full RV Hookups

All eight RV sites provide electricity, water, and sewer connections. Electrical service includes 50-, 30-, and 15-amp options.

• Pull-Through and Back-In Sites

Four pull-through and four back-in spaces are available. The sites were newly rebuilt in May 2026 and vary between shaded and open-sky locations.

• Picnic Tables and Firepits

Shared picnic tables and firepits are positioned around the campground. Their use may be restricted during periods of elevated fire danger.

• Propane and Firewood

A propane filling station operates on the property, and firewood is available for purchase.

• Cabin Kitchen Facilities

All cabins have a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker. Queen suites and the family bunkhouse also include kitchenettes.

• Nearby Store

The Old Shell Store is roughly a block and a half away, serving meals and pastries while also carrying convenience goods, outdoor vehicle permits, and fishing or hunting licenses.

• Pet-Friendly Accommodation

Most pets are accepted. Cabin and glamping reservations carry a nightly pet fee, while travelers staying in their own RV or tent are not charged a pet fee.
